Show Gem and Show Ray let you cheat to learn the game
Click on a perimeter square to launch a beam
Click on a gridsquare to indicate where you believe a gem to be
Click again to erase your guess
There should be 4 or 5 marbles in the mine
“I Want the Truth” evaluates your hypotheses about the marbles

• a green OK means you got it right
• a red frowny face means there was a gem that you didn’t guess
• a marble with an ‘X’ through it means no gem existed where you guessed
• ”Reset” starts a new game

• What is the most efficient way to check the entire grid
• are there other hypotheses that explain the data besides yours
• have you checked the entire grid
