Final grade posted at bottom of the Grades page. I need to triple-check one more time. I intend to post raw score given by your mentors (for those of you who remained in class, this would be the Bugs quiz/homework with small adjustment for class participation). Management not responsible for the silly number of sig figs posted.

Lecturers have made very sympathetic responses to my plea to do grading as I described to you it would be done, but nothing final til it's final. HOWEVER, in general there will be no effect on lecture grades regardless.

Monday @ 4: Grades
Thursday @ 5: Grades

Calculation of final grades (not yet available as of 12-10, but I'm working on it)
The first part of the class (when we were all together) is simply the weighted average ('counts 3x' etc.) of the work, where
+ = 100
ok = 90
- = 80
Late ('L') = -10
x = 0

For the second part, if you worked with a mentor, the score they assigned you was 75% of the grade. If you stayed in the classroom, that 75% came from the quiz/homework turned in (shown as 'bugs' in the grades; if you were effective and participatory in class I may've used that to help you out a little). In all cases, the other 25% came from your peer's ratings of you and an adjustment based on my assessment of your comments (generally these scores came out to 90s unless others rated you very high or low or your comments were very disappointing or pithy).

MONDAY group: I applied an additional adjustment to stay-in-class scores if your Maya work was better than your Bugs work, since that assignment doesn't have any other place.

The Maya hieroglyphs movie can be watched (in segments) online (click the Watch Online link to go specifically to the movies)

This was just one in a series on different topics
